Department's Website: JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: *Provide content and skill-development tutoring to individuals and small groups *Maintain records regarding student use of tutoring services *Develop tutoring materials and strategies to support student success *Proactively promote tutoring services *Create a welcoming environment conducive to learning *Develop a good understanding and knowledge of college services, supports, and resources *Make appropriate student referrals to college offices, departments, or professionals when necessary *Complete any required trainings and development assignments *Act with integrity in a courteous and professional manner *Comply with all federal laws and college policies regarding student privacy *Assist with other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITES: *Proficient knowledge in course content being tutored, such as but not limited to, Applied Technical Writing, Composition I and II, and Literature *Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills *Proficient in the use of computer software applications, such as but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook *Able to problem solve, organize and prioritize work, multi-task, and be flexible and accepting of change *Able to work independently and cooperatively with a team to achieve the mission/goal *Able to work effectively and cooperatively with employees and students of various cultural backgrounds in support of the College Mission *Able to move about freely All employees at UACCM must have a commitment to work cooperatively with all campus personnel to fulfill the Mission of UACCM, and have the ability to deliver quality customer services.
