Job Summary:

"As the first point of contact for patients and clients at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, the Rehabilitation Services Coordinator plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment. With empathy and attention to detail, you ensure that each individual feels seen, heard, and cared for from the moment they arrive.

You manage the check-in process with warmth and efficiency, verifying that all department records and demographic information are complete and accurate. Your work ensures that every patient's care begins on a solid foundation. In addition, you'll coordinate and schedule future appointments, helping patients stay on track with their rehabilitation journey."

About the role:
  • This role requires in- person attendance at our CKSPT Bandana Square location
  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two-week period)
  • 8-hour day/evening shifts (Monday-Wednesday (9:15 am- 5:45 pm) Thursday (7:45 am - 4:15 pm) Friday (7:15 am - 3:45 pm)
  • No weekends

Job Description:

The Rehabilitation Services Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients or clients receiving services in the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. Ensuring the check-in process, department records and demographic information is complete and accurate. Schedules appointments for future visits.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Scheduling
    • Schedules and/or reschedules patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests and other related appointments.
    • Enters all scheduling documentation in the electronic medical record.
    • Registers patients, verifies insurance and obtains prior authorizations as needed.
    • Creates, deletes and modifys schedule versions and calendars to reflect changes in Therapist schedules.
    • Arranges interpreter services for patients as needed.
  • Administrative department support
    • Provides department reception, patient check-in and telephone coverage, routing messages accordingly.
    • Organizes and maintains department records, manuals and patient education materials.
    • Participates in completion of patient data reporting requirements and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Creates and maintains all training materials for new and current employees.
    • Assists physicians with reimbursements/expense reports, physician credentialing, charge capture and medical records.
  • Provide department support
    • Maintains governmental payor logs, including faxing.
    • Updates patient charts.
    • Assists department with sending email communication related to initial patient assessments.
  • Chart preparation
    • Analyzes patient records to determine if outside documents are needed.
    • Contacts document source, obtains records, scans and index into the electronic medical record.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer service experience

  • Lifting weight up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $21.55 to $29.35 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
