Job Summary The Technical Writer is responsible for writing and maintaining user manuals, assembly instructions, product labels, and other external documentation. Job Description Tasks Include: Planning and writing new documentation Editing existing documentation, while maintaining style continuity Writing, routing, and tracking DCNs Monitoring the status of ECOs Working with Engineers and other SMEs to create content for user documentation Working with the Nidec contact to keep our content and documentation current on our website Performing other tasks, as necessary Skills and Experience Required: Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking Strong attention to detail Able to write precisely and concisely for multiple audiences Capable of learning and understanding new applications quickly Proficient at using the following software: Adobe FrameMaker Adobe Illustrator Microsoft Office Suite Adobe RoboHelp Adobe Photoshop Label Matrix Other Qualifications/Experience: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Possesses a bachelor's degree or higher in Technical Writing, English, or related field At least two years of technical writing experience documenting both software and hardware Salary $75k - $85k Additional Job Details Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec Nidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
