JRAD is seeking a GIS Analyst III who supports spatial data analysis and mapping efforts by leveraging Geographic Information System techniques to improve understanding of geographic variables. This position contributes to projects of limited complexity and provides data-driven insights to clients and internal teams.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Geographic Information System techniques to analyze geographic variables
  • Extract data from GIS software and apply various analysis methods to generate results
  • Recommend appropriate reactionary strategies based on GIS analysis
  • Provide maps and data sets to clients to supplement and support analytical findings
  • Work collaboratively with CADD drafters and technicians to support integrated data efforts
  • Support projects/matters of limited complexity in a team-oriented environment
  • Perform duties under close management and direction from supervisors

Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area of specialty (e.g., GIS, Geography, Environmental Science)
  • 4-7 years of related experience in GIS roles
  • Strong knowledge of GIS software and technology
  • Experience creating and interpreting maps and geospatial data
  • Ability to apply analysis methods to real-world geographic problems
  • Effective collaboration skills for working with technical drafting teams
  • Comfort working in a support role with close supervision

Security Clearance:

  • The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
