LMI is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a DOD Army Program.

This position requires an active Secret clearance



Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    Responsible for using their knowledge of programming languages to design and develop software
  • Meeting with clients to determine their software needs, coding, and testing software to ensure functionality and updating software programs to refine components such as cybersecurity measures
  • Experience in agile frameworks and paired programming to deliver quality solutions for client
  • Analyze and translate both user stories and development tasks
  • Gather and assist in the preparation of epics and features based on customer needs
  • Integrate software components and third-party programs
  • Verify and deploy programs and systems
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
  • Gather, evaluate, and implement user feedback into iterative software development
  • Recommend and execute improvements
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
  • Work with application teams and platform teams in order to ensure software is built and deployed in a secure manner


Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with software design and test-driven development
  • Demonstrated Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and maintaining APIs on various infrastructures
  • Ability to show proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, SQL, TypeScript, etc.
  • Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies
  • Experience using GitLab as a version control system
  • Familiarity with application and platform security
  • Ability to work with tools such as Grafana, SonarQube, and Splunk
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven experience with frameworks such as Angular, Cypress, Material UI, React, and Vue

Preferred:

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • Experience with Army technology and/or C2 systems and requirements
  • Experience working in a consultant/client environment - preferably with Army customer
  • Familiarity with federal IT standards and policies such as FISMA, NIST, and the RMF process

Target salary range: $100,000-160,000
