About our group:

The mission of the End User Services organization is to enable the success of Seagate employees by providing exceptional services that set the standard for customer service, quality, professionalism, business technology and cost optimization. End User Services is part of the Corporate Information Technology organization.

About the role - you will:

  • Work in various aspects of desktop support.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues at the walk-up service center counter, interacting directly with users. Provide customer service with high standards of excellence.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment.
  • Research, maintain, install, and troubleshoot all aspects of laptop and desktop hardware and associated software.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues while interfacing directly with users.
  • Follow processes and testing procedures to ensure a high quality of work is delivered to the end-user with no or minimal disruptions.
  • Evaluate and implement application software solutions as identified by Corporate IT.
  • Take proactive, corrective actions to resolve issues in advance of system problems.
  • Install, configure, analyze, resolve, and repair all hardware and software issues involving Windows and Mac OS computers.
  • Provide total support for the desktop environment in accordance with defined standards and procedures.
  • Maintain password security, data integrity, and file system security for the desktop environment.
  • Respond quickly to customer issues while thoroughly documenting resolutions and closes all assigned cases through the designated tracking system.
  • Communicate with customers, peers, and management concerning the status of cases, problems, or suggestions.
  • Troubleshoot and determine the root cause of problems with software or hardware incompatibilities or network connectivity issues.
  • Provide technical support for conference room technology such as projectors, display screens and telephony equipment including sound systems, and conferencing tools like Teams and Zoom.
  • Handle multiple administrative duties to allow the team to operate efficiently.

About you:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and should be able to demonstrate these skills during the job interview.
  • Strong organizational skills that include attention to details, flexibility, and time management.
  • Experience using critical thinking skills to identify and resolve technical issues.

Your experience includes:

  • An associate degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent, plus 3 years of experience working directly in an IT environment resolving technical hardware and software issues.
  • Relevant Technical Certifications such as A+, MCP or HDI.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $33.02 - $48.12/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
