Student Financial Services Specialist HV-NTP-9824

Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree with two years of customer service experience in higher education student services, accounting or related field. Or a Bachelor's Degree. Ellucian Banner System experience preferred.

Nature and Scope of Duties:
The Student Financial Services Specialist, reports to the Assistant Director of Financial Aid and/or their designee and performs the following duties:
1. Counsels students via phone and in-person on matters of student expenses and financial aid opportunities. Also assists students in computer lab.
2. Conducts information meetings on and off campus for student and/or parent groups, both prior to admission and during the academic year, requiring occasional evenings and weekends.
3. Assist with Financial Literacy initiatives.
4. Assists students on the counter, telephone, email, and chatbot with account inquiries regarding their financial aid and billing.
5. Assists students with identifying documentation required for on-line application processing.
6. Reviews financial aid applications and documents.
7. Responsible for front office/counter operations to include sorting and tracking incoming documents, preparing outgoing mailings, monitoring inventory, and ordering supplies.
8. Assists with advising, processes and procedures related to Federal and State Grant programs, scholarship certifications, and reconciliation of fund accounts and account analysis.
9. Assists with the scanning and indexing of files, filing and maintaining order of student files.
10. Required to obtain knowledge of other areas (i.e.: Registrar, Admissions) to efficiently assist students.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary is commensurate with experience. This is a Full-Time position with a salary of $40,500.00 - $41,500.
