As anFSQA Supervisor you'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. You'll lead a team of FSQA Technicians, oversee compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain excellence in our bakery operations. Responsibilities:



  • Quality Management System Leadership - Maintain comprehensive documentation control of the Quality Management System (QMS), including procedures, records, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), and Food Safety Plans to ensure operational excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with operations, maintenance, sanitation, warehouse, and other support departments to maintain safety, legality, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement in bakery performance.
  • Product Quality & Customer Requirements - Understand Critical to Quality Control Points (CTQCP) for all manufactured products, implement customer requirements, and ensure right-first-time quality delivery while minimizing customer complaints through root cause analysis.
  • Team Management & Development - Provide day-to-day leadership of Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technicians, including training, performance management, skills development, and establishing talent matrices in collaboration with the FSQA Manager.
  • Supplier Management & Material Control - Oversee supplier approval processes, conduct raw material performance monitoring, and ensure all materials meet specifications while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Investigation & Problem Resolution - Lead rapid investigations of product/process failures, determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and minimize production downtime while managing product exposure risks during incidents like foreign material contaminations.
  • Audit Support & Regulatory Representation - Serve as trained backup for the FSQA Manager during regulatory, customer, and third-party audits, while maintaining expertise in Environmental Monitoring Programs and swabbing techniques.
  • Food Safety Culture Leadership - Actively promote and lead food safety culture initiatives, including the SIFIRI (See It, Fix It, Report It) program through regular communication, education, employee recognition, and safety event coordination.
  • Performance Management & Innovation - Manage departmental KPIs, oversee labor budgets, identify technology enhancement opportunities, and handle supervisory responsibilities including hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science Degree or sufficient experience in the food industry is required.
  • 3 years food industry manufacturing or quality experience including supervisory experience is required.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years comprehensive food processing, food safety and quality experience with an extensive background in manufacturing food industry, HARPc, USDA, or FDA, preferred.
  • Previous experience with GFSI, BRC, SQF and/or USDA audits desirable.
  • Training in HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) preferred
  • Trained as a PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) preferred
  • Good writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented, and possess strong computer skills



Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
