JOB STATUS: Full-Time

CLEARANCE: Secret

TRAVEL: 10%

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field from an ABET-accredited school.
  • 0-3 years of experience with aircraft systems, instrumentation, or testing (such as flight control, sensors, displays, navigation, or communication systems).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for airborne instrumentation systems.
  • Understanding of electrical analysis concepts and implementation strategies.
  • Familiarity with military aviation platforms, including electrical interface and system integration

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Electrical Engineer specializing in aircraft instrumentation system design, you will play a vital role in the integration of airborne instrumentation systems for the U.S. Army Test & Evaluation Command at the Redstone Test Center. Your primary responsibilities will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining electrical wiring systems for testing instrumentation, ensuring seamless integration and functionality for the latest cutting-edge DOD aircraft and subsystems.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing technical advice and serve as the technical interface between the Government customers, interacting with commercial vendors, participating in meetings and producing technical detailed products.

* Designing and creating aircraft instrumentation systems that integrate various airborne systems, ensuring compatibility and functionality within complex military aviation platforms.

* Developing and updating existing documentation for system integration, flight test support, and operational use.

* Collaborating as a team with fellow electrical engineers, flight test engineers, mechanical engineers, and systems integrators to design instrumentation systems that meet the stringent demands of military aviation.

* Providing technical support to flight operations teams by ensuring that electrical systems and wiring adhere to specifications and operational requirements.
