About Salesforce

We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too - driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good - you've come to the right place.

Are you a seasoned product leader with a passion for optimizing cloud spend and driving financial accountability in a dynamic, hyper-growth environment? We're looking for an Individual Contributor (IC) Director-level FinOps Product Manager to set the strategy and own the product roadmap and vision for our internal FinOps platform. In this pivotal role, you'll provide critical insights that fuel strategic decisions across the company, empowering executive leadership to optimize our cloud infrastructure investments.

You'll be working closely with various stakeholders to deeply understand internal customer use cases, translating those needs into a compelling product roadmap, and partnering with our engineering architects to bring that vision to life. This role demands a proactive leader who can navigate ambiguity, drive results, and leverage strong relationships with key internal partners to align priorities and deliver impactful FinOps solutions.

Your Impact:

  • Define and own the FinOps product vision and strategy, including how it integrates with and leverages existing internal business partner solutions across our cloud infrastructure.

  • Drive the entire product lifecycle for our FinOps software and data pipeline solutions, from ideation and requirements gathering to development, launch, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee release management and planning for FinOps products, ensuring timely and effective delivery of new features and capabilities.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Leadership across various cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or other internal clouds) to identify opportunities for leveraging, extending, and optimizing FinOps capabilities within their products.

  • Partner closely with Engineering to specify, detail, build, and release FinOps products and features that deliver tangible value.

  • Work hand-in-hand with our Finance, Capacity Planning, and Cloud Operations experts to identify and solve the next generation of business problems, delivering a multiplier effect on our cost optimization efforts.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders, success teams, project managers, and executive leadership, along with technology product ambassadors from across the organization, to prioritize the right FinOps features.

  • Serve as a FinOps expert, representing the company in internal and external interactions, corporate events, and cross-functional engagements.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience building and launching enterprise SaaS products, specifically within the FinOps or cloud cost management domain.

  • Deep understanding of FinOps principles and practices, including cost allocation, showback/chargeback, budgeting, forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization strategies.

  • Exceptional product management skills and business acumen around building and launching successful products in a fast-paced, enterprise-grade environment.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team of other Product Managers, identifying and managing dependencies to ensure seamless delivery across intertwined product areas.

  • Strong ability to partner day-in and day-out with Development Engineers, Quality Engineers, User Experience specialists, and Business Analysts to provide clear direction, prioritization, detailed epics/user stories, and ensure successful delivery of FinOps solutions.

  • 10+ years of cloud infrastructure experience, with at least 7 years in product management focused on FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or related verticals within enterprise/SaaS environments.

  • Proficiency in cloud provider billing models (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Google Cloud Billing).

  • Willingness to continuously learn and comprehend complex enterprise architecture and evolving cloud technologies.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with ETL data pipelines for cost data.

  • Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis tools.

  • Hands-on experience with Python or SQL for data analysis.

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or similar certification.
