The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for providing leadership and assistance during the annual budget preparation cycle, monthly estimate cycle and throughout the year with general reporting and analysis and financial modeling. The position will also be a key resource for FP&A data integrity assisting with the monthly reporting package and other FP&A data related items.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: *Works as a business partner reporting results, compiling estimates and plans and works with the business team to quantify risks and opportunities driving better business practices and decisions *Partners with various areas of the the business on strategic imperatives and supplies operational and financial support *Analyzes relevant data and prepares performance reports used within FP&A and by other financial (i.e., accounting, audit) and non-financial departments (i.e., merchandising, sales, marketing) *Researches and explains variances of actual results compared to plan and estimate *Aids with devoloping monthly forecasts and inputs for annual budget and multi-year financial model *Various reporting and analysis on income statement items researching variances and other implications; ability to develop new reporting and compile monthly reporting results *Balance sheet and cash flow analysis including operational impacts of inventory and other working capital *Develops processes and schedules and ability to coordinate monthly financial closing items and reporting *Maintains and updates financial systems including data management, version control, data uploads and downloads within systems including SAP COPA, SAP BPC and other Microsoft Office tools | |
