DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Your main duties will involve planning, scheduling, directing, controlling, and organizing the work assignments of crews responsible for maintaining roads, trails, boundary lines, and district facilities, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively while remaining adaptable to changing conditions. It is also crucial to implement best management practices for the upkeep of these areas. Your organizational skills will play a vital role in effectively managing the equipment and personnel assigned to the Weiser Forest District. Furthermore, you will be actively involved in wildfire suppression efforts and will operate heavy machinery as part of these operations. Interested in learning more? REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience which includes one year in the operation of small and medium size construction or agricultural equipment; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- This position requires possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
