DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Childline Manager, you will be responsible for managing the legally mandated operation of ChildLine and Abuse Registry Section that consists of the following:
- The ChildLine Unit receives and responds to a large volume and variety of calls and electronic reports regarding the care of children, particularly reports of suspected child abuse/neglect, and the responsibilities/provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. The ChildLine Unit uses the Child Welfare Information Solution (CWIS) to transmit child abuse/neglect reports received to the appropriate entity for investigation or assessment. The ChildLine Unit is staffed 24/7/365.
- The Clearance Verification Units that receive and respond to requests for child abuse history certifications and FBI criminal history record checks from certain individuals who work or volunteer with children. This unit ensures processing of child abuse history certifications within mandated timeframes. They also interpret federal criminal history records to determine whether the individual is disqualified from service based on Pennsylvania statute.
This position is considered essential. It supports a critical business function and when there is a declaration of an office closing, emergency or disaster, the incumbent may be required to participate/assist in those functions to aid the business continuity process. As such, you may be required to remain at or report to work at headquarters or an alternate site and be available or reachable by telephone during the recovery process. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a ChildLine Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of professional experience in the development, implementation, or evaluation of a human services program, which includes two years of supervisory experience; and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes two years of supervisory experience in a human services program.
