The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Senior Specialist Developer for its Jersey City, NJ location. DUTIES: Consult with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support. Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interface with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standard development methodology. Work with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. Analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group. Contribute to defining timetables and project plans. Analyze and estimate feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs. Establish, implement and monitor 'best practices' for technical development methodologies and tools. Propose innovative, creative technology solutions. Contribute to the achievement of area objectives. As a part of AIS Real Estate Technology segment, collaborate with internal business and technology groups to provide strategic solutions in purpose to serve the clients in real estate space. Provide Yardi application development services and technical support as per business requirements. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Eight (8) years of experience must include: Using Yardi application development for Yardi Voyager Suite of Applications to setup the system and build the processes to automate accounting and reporting procedures and provide technical support using business requirements; Utilizing real estate products, including Open Ended Real Estate Funds, Closed Ended Real Estate Funds, and Property Management Vehicles to provide on demand or schedule reporting services for financial statements, PCAPs, NAV packs and Ad hoc reports for Business and Clients; Using SSRS, YSR reports, and Yardi Excel based reporting solutions to develop dynamic reports as per clients requirements and Industry standards; Using Database Programming including MS SQL Server to design and develop the database objects and ETL processes to automate the feeds between Yardi and other internal and External systems, develop the Database solutions to manage the large amount of data systematically which can be use further for analytical purposes, and develop the solutions to handle the data issues and data updates with Audit logging capabilities; and Utilizing Dashboards and analytical tools including Qlik to develop presentation quality performance dashboards with dynamic capabilities demonstrating different KPI's for internal teams as well as for Clients. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $165,547.00 to $168,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of The Bank of New York Mellon total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
