Time Away & Life Solutions Senior Consultant

Are you interested in a dynamic position that provides consultative support for Life, Disability and Voluntary Benefits to the Professional Employer Organization vertical.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from an Aon office.

What the day will look like

Acts as Primary contact for client for day-to-day task-oriented activities; has significant client interaction and good working relationship with Client contact. Owns delivery to client for most day-to-day work. Possesses ability to delegate and provide guidance to Analyst support.

Networking: Build relationships internally with peers within and outside own office and/or region. Foster relationships and provide feedback to client contacts.

Ownership: Takes pride in ownership and understanding integration of own work within the broader picture.

Growth Mindset: Engaged in learning more about individual clients, Health Solutions offerings, and broader Aon solutions.

Communication: Ability to provide concise thoughts in written and verbal communication both internally and externally. Utilize the Aon Feedback Model to both give and receive feedback. Respects others' opinions and views.

Service Oriented: Recognizes the need to serve clients with high quality and high responsiveness, adhering to standards for turnaround time

Analysis: Focuses on analyzing information to ensure reasonability, completeness of response, and providing Aon insights

Coaching & Development: Takes time to help others by sharing knowledge and addressing gaps; responsible for own capacity; proactively communicates capacity concerns or availability with manager and AE's.

Presentation Skills: Develops materials for client meetings utilizing available resource documents (customizing where necessary), with clear presentation of facts and recommendations. In delivering content to clients, articulates information clearly.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Strong knowledge of Life, Disability, and Voluntary benefit offerings; including plan designs, attributes, and rate calculations
  • Ability to support benefit program education and manage exception requests (non-sales, if necessary)
  • Ability to learn, manage, and perform tasks in multiple systems for research, edit, and response to inquiries via case management in Henry system, email, or telephone (including processing enrollment updates).
  • Serve as primary contact for clients requesting more information about the programs or to explain the coverages in greater detail (including support of client calls to explain coverages, exclusions, premium calculations, etc.)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years' consulting or relevant Corporate Benefits experience or 2 years of carrier life and disability experience, preferably with an underwriting background

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $79,700,00 to $95,000.00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Berkeley Heights, NJ. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
