The starting rate for this position is $26.70, and is negotiable based on skills and qualifications. ONLY during the summer months, there will be several weeks that this position will have to work a night shift 6PM-6AM on an as needed basis for 3 days at a time. Summary This Maintenance Technician position drives a diesel powered tractor trailer combination to transport and facilitate delivery of pullets (young stock) across our facilities in all weather conditions, with safety being the first consideration. The purpose of this position is transport livestock and maintain equipment for transport. Other duties include performing general maintenance and completing equipment repairs during time in between driving. Key Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Physical Demands Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work Environment Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and water, and chemicals. Temperature is regulated for operations standards. Cooler temperatures occur in specific areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions. Employees are required to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) due to working in a food manufacturing environment (hairnets, clean clothes, etc.).
