Description

Purpose:

While projecting a professional image, work with the Director of Enterprise Risk Management (or CRO) in day-to-day ERM support for the bank. Promote a risk-aware culture and actively maintain the day-to-day enterprise risk management (ERM), model risk management (MRM) and designated branch expansion or merger & acquisition (M&A) activities, along with special projects (such as Corporate Insurance), as assigned, for the Bank. Support the development of strategies, initiatives, objectives and policies for the Bank's ERM & MRM functions.

Essential Functions:



  • Ensure that all ERM, MRM and M&A Governance Documents are appropriately maintained.
  • Facilitation of the Bank's overall integration of risk concepts such as risk planning, risk identification, risk assessment, risk monitoring and mitigation activities, and to ensure the Bank is in full compliance with applicable regulations, reporting requirements, analysis of bank-wide risk-related issues, and recommend improvements to mitigate risk.
  • Work to enhance business value by integrating risk intelligence into activities across the enterprise and is responsible for assisting the efficient and effective governance of significant risks, and related opportunities.
  • Maintain an integrated risk framework for the Bank, which incorporates Assessing risk throughout the Bank, Quantifying key risk limits, and monitoring the progress of risk mitigation activities entity wide.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and internal controls that address the Bank's ERM & MRM processes and functional activities.
  • Support the Bank's continuous improvement of ERM & MRM processes/functions, in order to achieve profitable growth while maintaining enterprise-wide risk within acceptable levels.
  • Identify, measure, monitor and control efficient and effective risk management and model risk management programs to support the Bank's strategic plan and strategy execution.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards and processes to continuously provide appropriate ongoing ERM & MRM reporting to executive management and the board of directors.
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge related to any regulatory, legal or policy and procedural changes in Enterprise Risk Management, Model Risk Management or Expansion, Merger and Acquisition activities.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred ora minimum of 3-5 years of banking or equivalent risk management experience and the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Willingness to pursue and obtain applicable ABA (or appropriate) ERM related trainings / certifications.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
