Position: Relationship Assistant I - Commercial Banking | Division: Commercial Banking| Work Days: Monday - Friday| Hours of Operation: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Position Overview: The Relationship Assistant I in Commercial Banking plays a pivotal role in supporting the bank's commercial lenders and ensuring client satisfaction and retention. This position acts as the primary point of contact for commercial banking clients, facilitating communication between the client and various bank departments. The role is crucial for providing comprehensive credit, documentation, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), marketing, and administrative support within the Commercial Banking Group. Essential Functions:
- Prepare commercial loan packages and memorandums for approval.
- Generate worksheets and collect supporting documentation for loan processing.
- Ensure loan documents are accurate and reflect approved terms.
- Conduct loan closings and prepare financial documentation for imaging.
- Monitor and resolve collateral and credit exceptions.
- Handle client requests for information, assistance, and research.
- Process advances, payments, transfers, and account maintenance.
- Address inquiries regarding bank products and services.
- Respond to and resolve routine and complex client service issues.
- Support treasury management solutions.
- Assist bankers in maintaining and updating CRM system information.
- Prepare and manage CRM call and pipeline reports.
- Manage overdrafts, past due payments, and post-loan closing requirements.
- Liaise with internal partners to address and resolve issues.
- Contribute to the development of relationship assistant function procedures.
- Participate in commercial banking projects and perform additional duties as needed.
- This position may require travel within the Bank's geographic area.
Experience & Education:
- 1 year in commercial banking with client contact,
credit support, and administrative experience. - Extensive knowledge of
credit, deposit, and treasury products, and a comprehensive understanding of operational processes. - Strong expertise in loan documentation,
procedures, and policies. - High School diploma or equivalent required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written
communication abilities. - Proficient time management skills with the capacity to
work independently. - Strong collaborative skills, with a demonstrated
ability to work in a team environment. - Ability to follow up on issues with diligence and
ensure resolution. - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in
all tasks. - Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
effectively. - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under
pressure. - Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
Other Requirements:
- Proven track record of maintaining professionalism and
confidentiality. - Willingness to undergo further training and development
as needed. - Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.
