Employer: Ciena Corporation Job Title: Lead, IT Applications Job Requisition:A710.319.7 Job Location: Hanover, Maryland Job Type: Full Time The annual pay range for this position is$142,418 - $216,000/year How You Will Contribute: Duties: Identify and lead initiatives and programs to scale the organization and its operations for future growth. Provide governance, strategic consultation and recommendations for business process design, business intelligence design, software development architecture, application frameworks or interfaces during the design and ongoing care of solutions. Develop processes and metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to improve effectiveness and efficiency of technical evaluations, workshops, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements. Partner with Business teams to align on overall strategy and priorities and provide support for specific POCs (proof of concept), initiatives and programs. Develop and foster relationships for key business leaders at the program sponsor and executive level. Partner with business and IT leadership to align with and deliver plans, strategies, and annual goals. Mentor and develop an exceptional team of Solution Architect & functional domain Architects. Collaborate with Service & Delivery leads and Project Management teams to improve engagement models and ensure the appropriate coverage of service area. Partner with other Service areas to ensure efficient and ongoing enablement and development of the team. The Must Haves: Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Computer Systems Engineers/Architects-related occupation.
