Overview

The Front Office Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides high-level advisory and analytical support for office support services. The Front Office SME brings deep domain knowledge and experience in office support, supporting strategic planning, evaluation, and transformation initiatives aligned with the Department's mission. This position will support specific task orders requiring expert insight and is expected to engage directly with senior government stakeholders and integrated project teams.



Responsibilities

The following duties reflect management's definition of essential functions for this job but do not restrict the tasks that might be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons:

    Provide subject matter expertise in Front Office Support, including business process reengineering professional recommendations, executive-level interfaces, professional project management, analysis, and administrative services.
  • Lead or support the development of policy recommendations, operational strategies, and implementation plans.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform leadership decisions.
  • Support the development of briefings, reports, and written products.
  • Advise Government clients on best practices, program risks, and operational impacts.
  • Participate in working groups and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Provide peer review and quality assurance for technical deliverables.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the following areas:
    • Experience supporting enterprise-wide resource management and Program/Budget formulation for DOD or other federal agencies.
    • Experience supporting Executive Secretary and Correspondence Control Office/ GAO, IG, and FOIA Hotlines for DOD or other federal agencies.
    • Experience providing Studies, Analysis, and Decision Support (Senior governance forums, FFRDC studies) for DOD or other federal agencies.
    • Experience supporting Strategic Initiatives Group (Strategic Planning, Assessments, & Messaging/Engagements) for DOD or other federal agencies.
    • Experience supporting Continuity of Operations and Crisis Management for DOD or other federal agencies.
    • Experience supporting and executing civilian and/or military human resources and manpower management for DOD or other federal agencies.
    • Experience supporting facilities management, IT, and logistics support to DOD or other federal agencies.
    • Experience supporting security (physical and SCIF, personnel and clearances, information, IT) management for DOD or other federal agencies.
    • Experience providing advice and recommendations to enhance the capabilities, efficiency, and effectiveness of the reserve components or other federal agency forces.
  • Recognized industry, academic, or government leader in their field.
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's or doctoral degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense or federal agencies preferred.

Clearance Requirements: Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred or required based on task order.

Location: Varies by task order. May include on-site at the Pentagon, Wright-Patterson AFB, or other federal sites. Remote work is possible based on client needs and approval.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
