The Senior Technology and Product owner supports our Enterprise Policy Administration Platforms.
You will report to Senior Manager, Engineering.

Position Compensation Range:

$97,000.00 - $164,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Alignment and Planning:
    • Align team roadmap with technology strategies for AmFam's Personal Lines Policy platform.
    • Create short and intermediate-term planning roadmaps.
    • Develop backlog for iterative sprint and program increment planning.
    • Maintain capacity and demand framework for planning.
  • Collaboration and Story Creation:
    • Write specific, measurable stories with technical detail for desired outcomes.
    • Lead sprint planning and refinement using past velocity and priorities.
    • Align with product delivery and platform teams for solutions.
  • Platform Engineering Knowledge:
    • Understand application platforms, tech stacks, IAC, CI/CD, and observability.
    • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, CI/CD, and observability teams.
    • Gain knowledge in component architecture for DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
    • Experience in customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
    • Understanding of the technology industry and data science trends.
    • Experience leading customer-facing digital/technology products.
    • Knowledge of agile methodologies and tech project management.
    • Understanding of the digital product market and user landscape.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional work.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Experience in promoting a collaborative team environment.
  • Key Technical Knowledge:
    • Experience with Java Soap and RESTful Services.
    • Understanding of AWS, especially ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and S3.
    • Understanding of CI/CD.
    • Knowledge in GitLab and Maven.

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month out of our Madison, WI or Boston, MA offices.
