Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Lead Product Engineer to join our team in Holland, MI.
As a Lead Product Engineer, you will: Collaborate closely with industrial design from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in product design and development, specifically with door systems or architectural products, and expertise in door systems, construction, and codes/compliance. You will guide and mentor a team of engineers in developing cutting-edge architectural products and solutions, specifically doors, providing technical direction and mentoring to drive innovation. Essential Functions
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic product engineering initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
- Drive innovation in product design and development, exploring and implementing advanced technologies and methodologies.
- Lead complex problem-solving initiatives, utilizing advanced analytical techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Lead cross-functional teams for large-scale product development projects, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
- Develop and implement best practices and standards for product engineering, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Contribute to the development of long-term product strategy, providing expert insights and recommendations.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent in relevant field of study
- Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience in leading or supporting new product design, development, and launch through a structured introduction process OR 4 years of experience in leading or supporting new product design, development, and launch through a structured introduction process if no post-secondary education
- 5 years of experience in engineering, design, and development of Architectural Doors with Bachelor's Degree OR 3 years of experience in engineering, design, and development of Architectural Doors with Master's Degree
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with or without accomodations
- Must be able to work onsite daily at our Holland Headquarters

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Ability to lead assigned resources effectively
- Good communication skills across all organizational levels
- 10 or more years of product design and development experience, specifically with architectural door systems (sliding doors, pivot doors, wood doors, glass doors)
- Good oranganization and project management skills
- Experience working with other architectural systems like walls systems or building construction
- Experience with CAD
- Exhibits the ability to work well with diverse teams
- Proven ability to organize, track, and document project deliverables effectively
