Savvas Learning Company is looking for a self-starter with the ability to work with K-12 educators and administrators in positioning its humanities solutions as resources to increase learning outcomes for their students. As a National Humanities Manager for K-12 Humanities, you will report to the VP of Humanities Strategy, but will work closely with Sales Directors, Account Managers, and Humanities Specialists to identify sales strategies ranging from prospecting to closing business for Savvas' products and services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with sales teams in the United States and share expertise in Savvas' Humanities offerings and pedagogy with school district decision makers.
  • Partner directly with sales teams and product management to advance Savvas' Humanities products, services, and solutions within the United States.
  • Participate in assigned Savvas Learning/CCSOC sales pursuits within the United States and Puerto Rico.
  • Develop Savvas Humanities specialists in its humanities print and digital offerings.
  • Represent Savvas as a thought leader in the K-12 Humanities field.
  • Achieve revenue targets.
  • Develop and deliver winning presentations.
  • Provide customer feedback to sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • Build sales capacity in all markets.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • A college degree is required with an advanced degree or specialty related training highly desirable.
  • Teaching experience in K-12 Humanities preferred.
  • Must possess a deep understanding and passion for Humanities instruction.
  • Academic experience and or training in K-12 Humanities, with proven expertise.
  • Experience in networking with high level district administrators and decision makers.
  • Previous experience in selling and servicing in the education market is desirable.



OTHER SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES



  • Ability to have pointed conversations with school district experts in K-12 Humanities.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver winning presentations in large and small group presentations.
  • Highly skilled in persuasion, argumentation, and influencing experts and decision makers in K-12 Humanities.
  • Fast learning curve in gaining knowledge of new and existing product lines.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and present Savvas technology solutions.
  • Comfortable with the use of technology



OTHER REQUIREMENTS



  • At times, significant travel will be required.
