Job Summary
#CA-FT Provides management over the Billing, Claims, Home Health and Hospice, and hosting service teams. This position manages the enhancement, maintenance, and operational support of Epic's Resolute SBO Billing for Hospital and Professional Services. This position leads the teams responsible for the enhancement, maintenance, and operational support of Epic's Resolute Billing, Claims, Home Health and Hospice, Security, General Ledger, eCheck-In and MyChart payment and billing features, Vendor credit card collections and payments, Epics programs for Gold Stars, Honor Role and Diamonds. This position also manages the implementation of newly related Epic systems and third-party applications conducive to optimization and the execution of UCDH's strategic objectives. The role oversees all aspects of the application operations support and new system implementation including managing urgent system fixes, application upgrades, requirements gathering, analysis, design, build, testing, and deployment and support for UCDH and hosted affiliates. The position works with department administrators, managers and staff in Finance, Financial Controllers, Clinical Operations, Hospital and Professional Billing Operations, Ancillary Departments, HIM, and cross functional teams, and subject matter experts throughout the health system delivery process. The position reports to the Epic Applications Director of UC Davis Health System IT Financial & Administrative Applications. Apply By Date: July 11, 2025 at 11:59pm. - One or more Epic HB or PB Billing Application Certifications or equivalent from direct support with Epic Billing Services
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Five years experience in the Healthcare Industry
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and delegate Epic application work efficiently, with strong human resources management skills and knowledge
- Applies proven human resources management skills in staff selection, development, and evaluation. Creates a strong culture of teamwork to ensure the quality of daily operations, effective interdepartmental collaborations, and the timely achievement of objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership skills managing IT professionals and collaborating with Financial Leaders
- Proven managerial skills in planning and delegating work, deploying staff, resource management, budgeting, and financial management
- Strong critical-thinking, project-management, and problem solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and interpret complex data and systems, to quickly identify problems and implement solutions.
- Proven ability to work effectively with senior management on operational and performance issues in developing goals, objectives, policies, strategies, quality improvement programs, systems for monitoring and ensuring user competence on Epic applications
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train users and to successfully manage extensive cross-functional Interactions between the Epic applications team, users, related personnel, and outside vendors
- Proven ability to manage Revenue Cycle applications program development, software testing, estimates of costs and resource needs, budgets, distributed clinical information systems, and user support systems and executing them through subordinates
- Ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise, and specific manner, and to cultivate a strong commitment to quality and achievement of goals.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare information technology, Epic Revenue Cycle Services, Epic workflow and processes and medical terminology
- Comprehensive understanding of Epic application and integration with clinical and financial process and workflows
