Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician I

Location(s): Atlanta, GA



Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Facility Maintenance Technician I to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and repair of our buildings, equipment, and grounds. This entry-level role is designed for individuals with basic skills in one or more core building systems-such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general construction-and a strong willingness to grow into more advanced technical capabilities.
You will be responsible for assisting with preventative maintenance, performing light repairs and inspections, and responding to emergency requests. The role also involves contributing to project work, vendor coordination, space setups, and supporting various site operations, including sustainability and event logistics.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs


  • Assist in performing or coordinating maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire systems, UPS, and other building equipment.
  • Execute minor repairs, furniture setups/teardowns, painting, bulb replacements, and general facility upkeep.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs and routine inspections to identify and resolve facility issues.


Emergency Response & Operations

  • Respond to urgent facility issues and emergencies to minimize business disruption.
  • Support weekend or after-hours work when required.
  • Help execute internal moves, setups for events, and other logistical needs.


Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize IWMS ticketing system to manage work orders and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Maintain compliance documentation for inspections and recycling programs.


Collaboration & Compliance

  • Assist in coordinating with vendors and contractors for service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal safety and facilities regulations.
  • Track tool/supply inventory and maintain company assets (e.g., keys, tools, laptop, phone).


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination (such as vocational training or 3 years' direct experience).
  • Basic understanding of one or more building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
  • Comfortable with physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and extended periods of standing or kneeling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to use smart devices and work management systems.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites as needed.


Work Environment:

  • Indoors and outdoors, including warehouses, office spaces, and exposed conditions (weather, warehouse environments, etc.).
  • Physical demands include frequent bending, lifting, climbing, and tool handling.
