NSWG8 N4 Logistics Management Analyst Lvl II

Minimum Qualifications Summary


Certification & Education



  • High school education required
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Valid State Driver's License



Experience Required



  • Must be capable of completing government provided training within ninety (90) days plus the course length for any LIS requested in writing by the government.
  • Shall be highly organized and proficient in utilizing computer applications and related automation to support analytical efforts and product development.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, such as, Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must have interpersonal skills and be able to effectively work, individually or as a member of a team, and take the lead on select tasks.
  • Must have five (5) years of Navy logistics experience to include: financial analysis of Major Force Program Two (MFP-2) and Major Force Program Eleven (MFP-11) funding sources, allowancing and configuration management.
  • Must have three (3) years of experience supporting the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community. Must have technical experience with Navy Logistics Information Systems (LIS).
  • Must have five (5) years of experience with Navy or Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)




Job Objective

Will be responsible for conducting a detailed analyses of logistics operations,

including inventory control, supply chain efficiency, and life cycle management. Prepare logistics reports from various Intergraded Logistic Support Systems and metrics to support NSWG-8, N-4 operational readiness.

Responsibilities


  • Track and manage daily inventory control activities, including inventory reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Reconcile variance reports and ensure accurate tracking of Not Ready for Issue (NRFI) items.
  • Ensure the security and proper storage of materials and supplies, with a focus on minimizing discrepancies and waste.
  • Oversee inventory tracking and database management in DPAS, COLTS, and ILS ensuring compliance with DoD policy.
  • Execute cycle counts, inventory sweeps, and adjustments as needed to maintain database integrity.
  • Process and submit required financial reports on shipping to the NSWG-8 N-4 Logistics Support (LS) for submission.
  • Coordinate logistics support activities, including material handling, shipment, and receipt of items, with the Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) for shipping and receiving actions and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, NAVFAC, and COMNAVSPECWARCOM instructions for material accountability and property management.
  • Maintain audit readiness by adhering to Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) policies and archiving material records.
  • Provide logistics inputs to support Logistics Management Inspections (LMI) and Logistics Management Assessments (LMA) for NSWG-8 N4.
  • Ensure compliance with United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM), DoD Instructions and other regulations governing property accountability and material management.
  • Support audit readiness efforts by maintaining accurate records IAW FIAR policies.
  • Develop and implement database policies for inventory management, tracking, and reporting.
  • Analyze supply chain and inventory management data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement logistics solutions and best practice to optimize operations and enhance sustainability.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to NSWG-8 N-4 leadership based on logistics data and operational insights
  • Operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs. Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point. Enter data into multiple databases accurately.

  • Ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for newly entered and previously entered data.
  • Retrieve data and use data to respond to a variety of customer and vendor inquiries.
  • Compile and analyze data to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments related to the assigned programs.
  • Perform research to determine reasons for patterns of transaction errors and failures.
  • Research problems surfaced by customers; resolve issues or route to appropriate Government personnel with information setting forth research findings.
