Experience Required
|
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in military logistics and property/inventory management.
- Must have Special Operations Forces (SOF) logistics experience.
- Shall be able to demonstrate proficiency in DPAS, MS Excel and other programs within the MS Office Suite.

Job Objective
Provide logistics and inventory support to Special Reconnaissance Team (SRT) -2 in Virginia Beach, VA.
Responsibilities
- Assist the SRT-2 N4 Logistics Officer by utilizing Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
- Support the command Logistics Management Inspection (LMI) and Logistics Management Assessment (LMA) program in accordance with COMNAVSPECWARCOMINST 4460.1.
- Provide inventory support to SRT-2 Departments as required.
- Schedules, Monitors, and conduct inventories. Track progress for SRT-2 Property Program. Conducts and posts inventories to DPAS. Inform and communicates issues to all Departmental Property Clerks, Responsible Officers, and Accountable Property Officer.
- Establish and maintain the records of the property accountability systems, to include a complete trail of all transactions suitable for audit.
- Issues, Receives, and signs for property and material. Administrative inventory control and accountability, and maintenance of property accountability records, to include a complete trail of all transactions suitable for audits.
- Processing property for disposal and removal from the DPAS system as required. Schedule & transport materials requiring disposal to local disposal location.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and audit inventories for command departments on any required commodity to include but not limited to (DPAS, HAZMAT, SPEAR).
- Produce completed inventory reports to N4 Department Head and reconcile inventory discrepancies identified during inventories or audits.
- Produce graphs, spreadsheets, and data models as directed.
- Preform issues, receipt, and transfers of HAZMAT materials within DPAS.
- Marks and tracks property received and issued in DPAS.
- The Contractor may be required to pull material and move it to different locations for repairs, inventory, staging, etc. requiring the use of a forklift for bulk or large materials.
- Inventory Management Specialist should expect to be assigned by SRT-2 N4 to assist various departments within the command requiring logistics support or expertise.
- Operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs. Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point. Enter data into multiple databases accurately.

- Ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for newly entered and previously entered data.
- Retrieve data and use data to respond to a variety of customer and vendor inquiries.
- Compile and analyze data to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments related to the assigned programs.
- Perform research to determine reasons for patterns of transaction errors and failures.
- Research problems surfaced by customers; resolve issues or route to appropriate Government personnel with information setting forth research findings.
