What You'll Accomplish - Your Performance Objectives

The Quality Improvement Consultant serves as a subject matter expert in clinical quality improvement, supporting Medisolv's Advisory Services clients in advancing their quality performance, regulatory readiness, and organizational outcomes. This client-facing role is ideal for a former hospital-based quality leader with deep operational knowledge of healthcare quality programs and reporting requirements, including CMS, The Joint Commission, and state-based initiatives.

The Consultant leads quality improvement engagements, delivers regulatory education, and partners with clients to plan strategies for performance improvement beyond compliance. The ideal candidate has strong clinical experience, is skilled at translating complex regulations into practical, actionable guidance for stakeholders at all levels and has a solid understanding of healthcare informatics.

In addition to client work, the Consultant will play a role in developing and delivering educational content internally and externally and will occasionally support the Medisolv sales team through product and services demonstrations.

This is a temporary position with the potential to become a full-time permanent role. The expected weekly hours can vary between 20 and 40 hours.

In your first 30 days, you will:



  • Onboard and familiarize yourself with Medisolv's people, products, and departments.
  • Begin to understand the regulatory requirements and quality improvement initiatives that Medisolv supports.
  • Start to review and familiarize yourself with existing client engagement documentation and project deliverables.


In your first 3 months, you will:



  • Lead smaller-scale client engagements related to clinical quality improvement initiatives and regulatory education.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to hospitals and health systems on regulatory requirements.
  • Begin to translate evolving regulatory requirements into clear guidance and training for clients and internal staff.
  • Collaborate with Medisolv's product, customer success, and implementation teams to understand their workflows and align Advisory Services with product capabilities and client needs.


In your first 6 months, you will:



  • Support the design and deliver regulatory education sessions, webinars, and training materials for both internal and external audiences.
  • Support Medisolv's sales and marketing efforts by participating in client presentations and product demos as a subject matter expert.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client engagements, project progress, and deliverables, ensuring consistency and quality.


In your first 12 months, you will:



  • Lead complex client engagements related to clinical quality improvement initiatives and regulatory roadmaps
  • Develop and refine your skills in providing strategic guidance and support to hospitals and health systems on regulatory requirements.
  • Continue to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Advisory Services forward and align with client needs and product capabilities.
  • Expand your role in supporting Medisolv's sales and marketing efforts and contribute to the development of new educational content and training materials.

Clinical Expertise and Leadership. You have a proven track record of leading quality improvement initiatives and providing strategic guidance to hospitals and health systems. You have experience designing plans, executing them, and achieving successful outcomes.

Collaborative. You demonstrate empathy for your colleagues and clients, influencing cross-functional collaboration and building relationships that drive results. You're comfortable facilitating meetings and delivering education to senior-level stakeholders.

Analytical Problem Solver. You're adept at dissecting complex regulatory requirements and quality data, presenting findings in a clear and actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Continuous Improvement. You understand the importance of staying up-to-date with evolving regulatory requirements and quality measurement systems, aligning your work and the team's efforts towards making processes easier and more efficient.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related clinical field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality, performance improvement, or regulatory leadership roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting platforms, and experience with healthcare data and quality measurement systems are also essential. Certifications like CPHQ or CPPS are a plus, as is experience with quality reporting software like Medisolv.
