Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, and Supervisors, complete administrative and operational duties associated with frontline areas and operations at the 15th and 16th street Information Desks. Provide information and directions by phone, in person, and assist with wayfinding regarding clinic/patient locations or outpatient appointments while working closely with other departments such as the SM Hospitality/Volunteer Services.
Salary Range: $26.42 - $37.49
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to provide customer service in a courteous, professional, and patient manner; consistently promoting a positive image for the department.
  • Skill in tactful oral communication, in person or by phone, to provide information regarding program procedures/policies. Ability to direct complaints or explain program procedures/policies first before passing on to incumbent's supervisor.
  • Skill in performing with frequent interruptions and distractions.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in English, particularly in speaking clearly and distinctly, using appropriate vocabulary and grammar, to convey and obtain information to/from individuals at various organizational levels.
  • Skill in making sound decisions in the absence of detailed instructions or supervision.
  • Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal or no supervision.
  • Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Ability to maintain professional dress and grooming habits consistent with organizational expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work assigned schedule, arriving promptly with minimal unscheduled absences.
  • Ability to regulate the use and evaluate the appropriate time to place requests for orders of supplies or equipment in a timely manner.
  • Ability to operate PC computer and demonstrate proficiency accurately and efficiently preparing reports, correspondence, and forms by using the application of basic word processing skills and database operations.
  • Ability to maintain the daily operations of a photo ID, fingerprinting, and lost & found program.
  • Knowledge of the University's general accounting forms and procedures sufficient to accomplish standard departmental accounting transactions.
