Your Day-to-Day:



  • Welding: Joining metal components (pipes, vessels, etc.) using various welding processes like GTAW, SMAW, and others.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repairing damaged components and conducting regular maintenance on nuclear equipment.
  • Testing: Using tools to test connections and ensure the integrity of welds.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring welds meet stringent commercial nuclear requirements and standards.
  • Material Handling: Preparing materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to strict safety procedures and regulations for working with radioactive materials.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of welding procedures and quality checks.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Performing basic maintenance on welding equipment and assisting other maintenance personnel.



Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:



  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in various positions and at varying heights.
  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety procedures and regulations.
  • Certification: Possession of required certifications from organizations like the American Welding Society (AWS) or the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI).
  • Experience: Prior experience in nuclear or related industries preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
