From your PASSION to ours

As a Sanitation Supervisor, the role will carry out responsibilities such as but not limited to is responsible for the Sanitation of the plant, ensuring that we meet all the regulatory criteria used to measure cleanliness. Inspects sanitation work and assigns cleaning tasks outside of the daily duties. Responsible for implementing master sanitation of the plant to ensure compliance with internal, external requirements. The Sanitation Supervisor is also responsible for the supervision of employees in the Sanitation Department, implementing policies and procedures, coordinating and assigning work, and recommending improvements to processes, equipment, and operating procedures. Additionally, the Sanitation Supervisor will collaborate with the leadership team to align duties with the company's goals and values.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

  • Assists the Sanitation Department manager to enhance the technical and financial performance of the department. Lead and control various sanitation parameters and implement corrective actions.
  • Participates in the evaluation of adjustments of the sanitation processes through analyzation and evaluation of sanitation efficiency data to determine the negative or positive net effect, while also maintaining conformance with standards, specifications and regulatory requirements, once approved by the Sanitation and Quality Manager.
  • Responsible for coordinating cleaning inspections and pre-op inspections with department managers to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Responsible for checking time, temperature, flow, conductivity, titrations and other related data to ensure CIP process is in compliance.
  • Responsible for ordering chemicals and monitoring and optimizing chemical inventory.
  • Responsible for monitoring swab results and master sanitation schedules to specification
  • Responsible for maintaining GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), all safety, and all regulatory requirements for all employees on shift. Take necessary action if performance or adherence are not to standard.
  • Responsible for a variety of reports to include, but not limited to, periodic productivity and efficiency, chemical usage and spend, and training.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Schedules staff and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of daily job assignments.
  • May be responsible for the review and approval of the time records of all staff assigned. Will be required to explain variances in hours worked, productivity and any other function responsible for.
  • Work with all departments to ensure proper adherence to GMP, GSP, FSSC practices, and QC policies and procedures, and proper maintenance of equipment. Keep department leaders informed on sanitation KPIs (CIP, clean-up, manual cleaning follow-up, valves, etc.)
  • Collects and provides any data necessary for budget creation or implementation.
  • Cooperates with other management in establishing and communicating company policies, operating procedures and goals.
  • Executes quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. Follows food safety policies.
  • Ensures effective employee relations by supporting and maintaining a safe and positive work environment. Analyzes and assists in resolving work and/or employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Travel and / or extended or off work hours may be required

Requirements

From your STORY to ours

Education

  • High school's diploma is required.
  • An associate's degree is preferred.

Experience

  • 2+ years dairy production and/or the food industry experience is required.
  • 2+ years management, supervisor, or lead experience is required.
  • 2+ years food industry sanitation practices experience is required.

Certifications and specific knowledge

  • Knowledge of OSHA, Food Safety, FDA, USDA regulations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Sanitation Principles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SDS, Chemical Safety is preferred.
