Title: Executive Administrative Assistant/ Administrative Coordinator

Pay Rate: $28.00/hr. without benefits

Location: Newark NJ 07102

Work Hours: Monday - Wednesday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Lunch period (Unpaid): 1 hour, anytime B/W 11 am & 2 PM(Part-time)

Hours per week: 40 hours

Job Description:

  • Coordinates and records meetings as needed.
  • Documents contacts and communications in investigations.
  • Uploads documents.
  • Performs other functions in DCR's online portal systems.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the Director, the DCR Units, and other staff as needed.
  • Provides a wide range of executive-level administrative services in the daily operations of the office.
  • Ensures that the service is effectuated on the proper party.
  • Answers incoming telephone and written inquiries and interacts with the general public and other parties.
  • Identifies the proper address for service of DCR pleadings and investigative materials.
  • Sends and tracks documents to parties and their counsel.


Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience:

  • Coordinates and records meetings as needed.

Job Duties:

  • Performs administrative work for an agency head or upper-level agency executive management positions.
  • Represents the agency head to others inside and outside the agency or institution. Actively influences board, commission, council, and/or agency policy decisions.
  • Provides administrative, analytical, and liaison support.
  • Working knowledge of the agency's programs, policies, and operations.
  • Working knowledge of the organization and operations of state government.
  • Working knowledge of analytical processes and research methods.
  • Some knowledge of office procedures and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and narrative reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement policies, conduct research, and make sound recommendations and decisions.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provides high-level administrative and analytical support to agency leadership, serving as a liaison and representing the agency internally and externally. Requires strong knowledge of agency programs, state government operations, and research methods, along with proven skills in communication, policy analysis, reporting, and independent decision-making.
