What this job involves: At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way for our clients, ourselves, and our fellow employees. As a General Facilities Technician / Mail Clerk, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our facilities and ensuring smooth operations across multiple sites. This dynamic position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, with approximately 50% of your time dedicated to general facilities maintenance and the remaining 50% split between mail clerk duties, driving a box truck between locations, and performing material handler tasks. What your day-to-day will look like

Mailroom Operations:

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
  • Process outgoing mail, including applying correct postage and arranging pickup
  • Manage returned mail and resolve issues
  • Operate postage meters and maintain accurate records
  • Fold and insert documents into envelopes for distribution
  • Ensure proper stocking of mail supplies and copy rooms

Box Truck Driving:

  • Operate a box truck on scheduled routes and for special trips
  • Transport pallets and materials between locations
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and posted speed limits
  • Perform vehicle inspections before and after shifts
  • Ensure timely vehicle maintenance and cleanliness

Material Handling:

  • Load and unload materials/goods
  • Operate forklift and electronic pallet jacks as needed
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs

Customer Service:

  • Provide polite and professional customer service
  • Communicate effectively with various departments and individuals

General Duties:

  • Perform minor housekeeping tasks and provide support for small office moves
  • Stock copy rooms and printing devices
  • Float between mail clerk, box truck driver, and material handler roles as needed
  • Lab services Support

Required

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver's license (Commercial Driver's License may be required)
  • 3+ years of driving experience with a clean driving record
  • 1+ years of mailroom experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and database entry
  • Knowledge of fax and scanning machines
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and spend much of the day on feet
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work quickly with hands
  • Familiarity with local street layouts
  • Flexibility to perform various tasks and roles as needed

Preferred

  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance or mailroom operations Familiarity with inventory management systems
  • HVAC, plumbing, or electrical maintenance experience
  • Customer service orientation
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules

Estimated total compensation for this position:

52,000.00 - 58,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
