Title of Position: Financial Wellness Officer

Position Type: Full-Time. Regular shifts include Monday to Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM.

Compensation Range: $65,000/yr. -$90,00/yr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*

Location: Position is on-site at our Harpursville In-School Branch located at 54 Main St in Harpursville, NY.

Responsibilities/Duties:



  • Act as the primary liaison, within your region, to coordinate and present financial literacy education and membership drives at academic institutions, nonprofit partners, business partners, and other venues as needed.
  • Act as a liaison for Life is a Reality events across all regions and provide support to colleagues within the department for other financial literacy events, expos, etc. as needed in their respective regions.
  • Acts as liaison providing a channel of communication between organizations and the credit union.
  • Educate our members on the benefits of ZOGO for their budgeting, FICO score and other financial wellness solutions in a gamification application.
  • Build top-of-mind awareness of the credit union and present products and services through phone calls and in-person visits, while fostering a relationship and increasing business.
  • Research all communities/regions we serve for networking opportunities to build relationships with businesses and organizations.
  • Utilize and leverage a book of business for existing and potential member/business growth.
  • Participate in events to build branding and awareness of Visions products and service within each community.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a portfolio of schools, businesses, and community partners with whom we provide financial literacy education.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments, and act as a resource to help ensure the financial success of our members and employees.
  • Act as a liaison between the branches and the Financial Wellness department to assist with business development, business services, and financial wellness initiatives to all membership.
  • Provide departmental back-up coverage as needed.
  • Respond effectively to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
  • Perform other duties needed to help fulfil our mission, drive our strategy, and support our organization's values.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience with financial literacy, business development, education, and public speaking; 4-6 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Proficient with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, PCs, etc.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:



  • Preference for bi-lingual Spanish fluency preferred due to members and community served.
