Ameresco is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to oversee the development of winning proposals and presentation materials for energy efficiency and renewable technology services. This role will have 2 direct reports and requires a hands-on leader with strong organizational, project, time management, quality control, and resource planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential to work effectively with teams across different departments. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Account Executives, Development & Engineering teams, Finance, and Legal to produce tailored project proposals, presentations, and marketing materials in response to RFP/RFQs, as well as for senior executive and customer meetings, seminars, and conferences. Oversee the writing and editing of proposal sections, including technical details, qualifications, pricing, and executive summaries to ensure clear, concise, and persuasive proposal documents. Develop compelling presentations to showcase the proposal to potential clients, including graphics and visual aids. Gather subject matter experts from various departments to contribute to the proposal, assigning tasks and managing their involvement. Establish a detailed project plan with milestones, deadlines, and responsible parties to ensure efficient proposal development. Ensure proposals adhere to all RFP requirements, formatting guidelines, and internal compliance standards. Organize internal review meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and finalize proposal content. Develop and maintain internal energy efficiency and renewable technology project database, and catalogue of past, current, and future project opportunities. Gather and update supporting company data and customer project information, including designing and implementing methods to capture, track, and maintain customer project data. Assist in cultivating new avenues of proposal lead development and oversee daily distribution of bid opportunities. Update and monitor the proposal calendar and database to track project status as part of managing projects of varying complexities with multiple deadlines and stakeholders. Identify and implement production process improvements to ensure effective use of resources. Perform other duties as required.

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, sustainability, or related field or equivalent experience desirable. APMP Certified, Shipley Certified & APMP Members a plus Superior organizational, project, time management, and resource planning skills and abilities to manage complex projects with multiple deadlines and stakeholders. Excellent verbal, written, computer and interpersonal communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of proposal management tools and software, including MS Office tools, MS Team, CoPilot AI, and Adobe Acrobat. Microsoft Project experience and proficiency in Excel are a plus. Prior RFP/RFQ experience in an energy, engineering, or commercial construction project environment, including state & federal agencies, is preferred. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast paced work setting.
