JOB DESCRIPTION

The Individual Business Sales Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Individual Business Sales team. This position focuses on coaching and developing Sales Representatives (SRs), monitoring KPIs, resolving escalated customer issues, collaborating cross-functionally, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coach and develop Sales Representatives by reviewing electronic, phone, and written inquiries to improve performance and adherence to KPIs.
  • Respond to and resolve complex or escalated customer issues, ensuring a high standard of service.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on issues and implement solutions for process improvement.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Provider Relations, Billing, Sales/Marketing, Claims) to ensure timely resolution of inquiries and issues.
  • Investigate and respond to inquiries from groups, plan partners, and other external stakeholders as needed.
  • Partner with the Customer Operations team to monitor and report on KPIs, Sales Representative performance, and scheduling.
  • Alert supervisors and managers to any identified deficiencies or concerns.
  • Develop, update, and deliver training content related to processes, product knowledge, and best practices.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives across the Customer Operations team.
  • Work a rotating schedule Monday through Friday: three days per week from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET and two days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Active Health or Life & Health Insurance License.
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or contact center role.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills, with the ability to handle conflict and guide performance improvement.
  • Advanced knowledge of dental terminology and claims processing.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, creative, and self-motivated.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability and commitment to work the required rotating schedule.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 15. $40,500 - $84,800
