We are seeking qualified individuals to join WilmerHale's Partner Compensation and Tax team to provide world class customer service to 400+ partners of the Firm. Highly motivated individuals demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. The ability to multi-task and work as a member of a team to provide high quality output and innovative solutions in a deadline driven environment is paramount. You will be responsible for implementing partner compensation and capital policies, accurately recording partner activity in the general ledger, and reconciling all partner related accounts. You will support monthly compensation payments to the partners, as well as annual profit distributions. You will assist with preparation and review of documents supporting the Firm and partners' tax filings in a multitude of tax jurisdictions. You will coordinate with the Firm's outside tax accountants to ensure the accurate and timely filing of all tax returns. You will coordinate the collection of composite tax payments from partners, as well as the pass-through entity taxes.

The ideal candidate will have:



  • Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of partnership and/or individual taxation, multistate taxation, business taxes, indirect taxes (i.e. sales/use tax), personal property taxes, international tax and accounting issues, etc.
  • Strong technology skills including Excel and Microsoft Office, general ledger software (3E preferred), research software, database, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business degree
  • CPA Certification or actively working towards certification
  • Prior law firm or public accounting firm experience, but other prior relevant experience will be considered.
