Position Summary:
Responsible for the promotional and commercial plan execution of Hannaford.com and Hannaford To-Go. Responsible for collaborating with Category Merchandising and Pricing, Marketing, Retail Operations, Our Brands, IT, Peapod Digital Labs, Retail Business Services in helping bring to life the Hannaford selling experience online.
Executes growth initiatives related to the digital merchandise business across Hannaford. Drive revenue for several categories online and partners with the Marketing Channel Planner to ensure categories are delivered in the right way to drive conversion. Coordinates merchandise inventory and offerings online based on customer and business needs for all merchandising/category.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead effective and innovative online merchandising strategies to drive total category sales and profitability in partnership with Merchandising, Marketing and eCommerce
- Works in close partnership with Marketing Channel Planner to support the development of e-Commerce commercial plans that drive traffic and sales
- Proactively identify, develop and implement opportunities to improve and enhance omni category processes
- Analyzes sales trends and compares against metrics to make recommendations to leadership for current and future eCommerce activities
- Lead the weekly population and changes associated with the eCommerce commercial plan calendar and serve as the single point of contact between fresh and center store merchandising.
- Support communications and questions for category management for both fresh and center store
- Assist coordination of informative reports for stakeholders utilizing various customer data sources that provide insights relating to key program KPIs
- Build, Leverage, and teach banner planning for on-line merchandising to create the Omni-Channel experience
- Ensure eCommerce site reflects overarching banner strategies weekly
- Effectively utilizes data to monitor trends across all landscapes and apply knowledge to drive conversion growth
- Execute weekly commercial plan, coordinating feature and display activity, thematic content to effectively grow category eCommerce sales
- Partner with cross functional team in making sure planned and incremental shopper marketing
opportunities across multiple categories and executed
- Collaborates with the channel planner on merchandising product on website to obtain optimal selling opportunities through descriptions, upsells, cross sells, and branding
- Responsible for versioning store fronts based on assortment needs subject to initiatives such as local
- Recommending appropriate department navigation and catalog presentation for all categories
- Coordinate alignment of cycle reviews with category for new and deleted item and eCommerce unique assortment
- Collaborate with PDL for the management of all category eCommerce analytics to support category growth
- Provide input and feedback on standard practice training aids
- Author and oversee effective communication with Retail Operations via: daily/weekly communication notes, leadership notes, seasonally focused communications, new program announcements, Voice of Retail, etc.
- Provide regular eCommerce industry insights from retail operations to monitor implementation and execution
- Develop a product plan and deliver breakthrough experiences to market by working with technical and non-technical partners; measure output, improve execution and continuously deliver production expectations
- Create highly collaborative cross-functional partnerships across the organization
- Coordinate and present effective reporting regarding product performance and funding
Qualifications and Experience:
Basic Qualifications :
- Knowledge of Fresh and/or Center Store categories
- Experience in leading projects and influencing consensus
- Mature level of knowledge for company, business and industry practices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Relationship management experience with vendors, brokers and third-party consultants
- Negotiation experience
- Experience with the following computer programs: SEGA, DSS, LlamaSoft, WMS, PFT, Inforem, Tableau, Revionics, MSP
Experience:
- 5-8 years combined experience in retail, merchandising, category, pricing, logistics, supply chain, procurement, and distribution.
- Retail Operations experience
- Merchandising experience
- Category experience

The Salary Range for this Position is $75,040 - $112,560
