SUMMARY The Product Manager combines strategic vision with the ability to implement tactical strategies for profitable growth. This position is responsible for developing products by identifying potential opportunities, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, production timelines, pricing, and creating integrated plans for product introduction. The role also involves developing marketing strategies and understanding product synergies to facilitate complexity reduction, product pruning, and overall portfolio management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the product lifecycle from new product introduction through to product maturation, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Conducts data analysis and formulates recommendations used to develop global strategic goals.
- Directs the implementation of the global product line strategic plan to prioritize and maximize company and product line profitability and investments.
- Formulates product pricing strategies and manages the daily operations of the designated team to optimize profitability and sales performance.
- Ascertains customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to gather market information.
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company's products, pricing and go-to-market strategies with that of competition.
- Prepares and coaches the sales team on product application information, product initiatives, and profitability metrics.
- Serve as a resource and partner with Sales during long-term contract negotiations.
- Recommends the nature and scope of current and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, evaluating new product ideas, and considering product or packaging changes.
- Provides source data for product line communications by defining marketing communication objectives.
- Collaborates with the sales and strategic marketing leadership to develop product sales strategies that enhance market share.
- Conducts market studies, including Voice of the Customer (VOC) analysis, to identify new or adjacent market opportunities and assess their viability.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements
- A 4-year university degree, preferably in Business Management and/or Marketing
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, or Product Management within industrial-based products/markets
- Skills in Product Management, People Management, Customer Understanding, Product Development, Requirements Analysis, Pricing, Planning, Competitive Analysis, Sales Planning, Inventory Control, Financial Planning, and Strategy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- CRM experience - Microsoft or SalesForce.com
