POSITION SUMMARY:



  • The Inside Sales Specialist reports to the Senior Divisional Director, National Accounts Sales
  • Located in Cleveland, OH
  • Full-Time
  • Hybrid



The Inside Sales Specialist will be a high energy, self-starter, self-motivated professional with independent and self-directed decision-making ability. This position requires a highly motivated individual to learn the business and customer needs to execute results at the highest levels. Will work directly with customers and must maintain in-depth, current knowledge of the customer and company business strategy while possessing the ability to sell TriMark's full capabilities and services for profitable and strategic sales growth. The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership, be a critical thinker, analytical with excellent organizational skills. Will require a leadership business approach and a solution-based thought process. Position requires strong attention to detail, flexibility, project coordination, decision making with proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Build new business while maximizing opportunities within an existing customer base
  • Build strong positive relationships with customers, vendors, and company personnel
  • Manage, organize, and maintain all necessary customer records and sales activity accurately,
  • Execute and expedite all business needs to include: daily orders, backorders, expedited orders, customer call ins and outbound calls, bid analysis / preparation, A/R, follow up customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to understand and present conceptual customized distribution programs or contracts
  • Actively work with decision makers, proactively addressing issues, introducing new product and staying in front of the customer needs to maintain and grow sales and margin, communicating all opportunities and challenges to upper management as needed,
  • Continuous review of product specification/knowledge, vendor discounts, and industry trends through attendance of sales meetings, vendor trainings, reading industry related publications, and participating in industry related professional organizations
  • Extensive report preparation and management using excel or database programs
  • Engage in strategic business discussions and decisions (Internally and Externally)
  • Investigate, compile and prepare detailed accurate information for bids, quotes and all necessary reporting to meet company and customer objectives
  • Ability to research, present and provide value-engineering options as necessary
  • Forecasting of individual account sales, inventory, and resource demands to meet customer and company
  • Successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and managerial skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Superb knowledge with MS Word, Excel or Database management and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize as needed
  • Diligent work ethic, must be self-motivated with initiative to get the job done
  • Negotiate pricing and product sourcing
  • Exercise independent decision making in the best interests of the company and customer



COMPETENCIES:



  • Will prepare and execute complex contracts, quoting and pricing programs independently
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and present complex information to a variety of professional audiences
  • Detail oriented with a high level of analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent follow through and follow up
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently; taking ownership of projects; workload; work planning, resource management and reporting with the willingness to put in the time and effort necessary to meet business and customer needs.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm under all circumstances
  • Must have proven ability in a computerized sales environment, overall strong computer literacy with high skill levels on multiple platforms
  • Ability to travel between facilities and to on-site customer meetings and business meetings as required
  • Proven leadership encouraging support and collaboration within a team sales environment



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • 3+ years of experience in sales with a large contract customer base
  • Inside sales distribution experience, preferred
  • Completion of CFSP Test within the first 3 years of employment; CFSP Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, manage logistics, and support national account activities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, with the ability to learn and utilize database and quoting software.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.


In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
