Job Description

What we're looking for:

In this role, you will play an essential role within the Market Access CVS Enterprise Team, representing the comprehensive GSK retail portfolio of Vaccines, Respiratory, and Classic & Established Products. Reporting to the Enterprise Account Director - CVS Retail, this customer-facing role will leverage exceptional account management capabilities to directly engage CVS Regional and District leaders to optimize the utilization of the GSK retail portfolio. This individual will lead pull-through of national initiatives and contract metrics, as well as the generation of local plans customized to geographical opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset, while ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and transparent, proactive, communication with leadership. Externally, "Enterprise Key Account Manager - CVS Retail, West" will be expected to work collaboratively at the regional and district levels, jointly develop measurable action plans with the customer to influence pull-through of sales and business opportunities for execution at the district level, and provide frequent, transparent updates on progress. Internally, the candidate will work synergistically with applicable business unit field and ecosystem stakeholders to diagnose and address regional CVS opportunities and gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and maintain expertise in applicable therapeutic areas as it pertains to the positioning of GSK's retail portfolio and the overall retail market
  • Demonstrate knowledge of GSK vaccines, competitive products, GSK promotional strategies and objectives in a way that meets customer needs
  • Accountable for developing and maintaining a strategic territory business plan, inclusive of explicit objectives and planned actions to achieve the desired state
  • Develop meaningful symbiotic relationships with CVS Regional/District Leaders and Immunization Captains to optimize performance through clinical education, enterprise analytics, and creative approaches to maximize local contribution to aggregate attainment
  • Working with the Enterprise Market Analytics Director to analyze available data to assess current state/trends, and inform plans to act on opportunities and address gaps
  • Regular engagement and communication with Sales Directors and Vaccine Ecosystem Leads to garner outside-in insights to understand factors contributing to the current state, and inform plans to optimize local contribution to aggregate performance
  • Escalate needs to leadership and appropriate market access, commercial, and medical stakeholders as appropriate to provide the customer support and resources needed to achieve GSK business objectives
  • Ability to manage short- and long-term travel and budget planning in a dynamic environment
  • The candidate will embrace having full accountability for meeting strategic objectives

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical experience
  • 3+ years of account management experience, AND experience in at least one of the following areas: Vaccines, Retail Sales, Contracting, Payer, Marketing, or industry experience
  • Travel up to 55% with weekly overnights

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills (written & verbal) for internal and external engagements
  • Agility to consistently flex and reprioritize due to evolving needs and market events
  • 2+ years of First Line Leadership experience
  • Experience related to retail pharmacy (either working for a retailer or in a retail-facing role)
  • Experience and breadth of knowledge across multiple business segments (i.e. Vaccines, Respiratory, Market Access, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to apply Compliance Policies and Procedures (CPP) in unstructured and fluid situations
The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $120,000 to $200,000 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
