POSITION SUMMARY

The Design Coordinator role is a key part of our design and graphics team. This role's primary focus will be owning the customer requested sample process, producing small scale orders, and supporting the Design department in areas of structural and graphic design.

This full-time position will report to the Designer at our Liberty Packaging location in Phoenix, Arizona.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own process of customer requested samples to include, utilizing project management tool to prioritize tasks, assembly of samples, along with preparing samples for distribution
  • Manage stock material for producing customer samples and own replenishment process
  • Monitor workload of small-scale orders, set up cutting table, produce orders, and communicate estimated time for completion to internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for routine preventive maintenance on cutting tables
  • Perform quality checks on samples and small-scale orders to ensure accuracy
  • Manage tooling inventory (print plates/cutting dies); request quotes and place orders
  • Supporting the Design department serving as a backup in structural and graphic design
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Previous experience with reading a tape measure
  • Previous experience with a computer using skills such as typing, printing and data entry
  • Ability to use math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to read work instructions to identify detailed steps for order completion
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience within the corrugated industry
  • Degree in field of Design - graphic design, structural or industrial design
  • 2+ years of work experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Involvement with operational excellence or continuous improvement programs

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting pay range for this position is $19.39-$24.24 per hour. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
