Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Program Analyst. The Program Analyst provides analytical support for organizational planning, decision-making, and program execution. This role involves conducting in-depth research, evaluations, and analyses to inform both short- and long-term strategic and operational goals. The analyst may specialize in areas such as configuration management, Earned Value Management (EVM), financial management, cost estimation, or risk management. Using data-driven insights, the Program Analyst develops recommendations and actionable solutions to improve program performance and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in any field

    • 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • 1-20 years of relevant experience in program analysis, project support, or related roles

  • Proven ability to conduct research, evaluations, and strategic or operational analysis

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience gathering and interpreting data to make recommendations

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Master's degree or MBA in a related field (may substitute for Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience)

  • Ph.D. in a related field (may substitute for Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience)

  • Experience with federal program oversight or acquisition lifecycle support

  • Familiarity with program management tools or methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Agile, Six Sigma)

  • Knowledge of government reporting frameworks, budgeting processes, or performance measurement systems

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct research, data analysis, and evaluations to support program planning and decision-making

  • Develop and present actionable recommendations for improving program effectiveness and efficiency

  • Support both short- and long-term strategic initiatives across various domains

  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders

  • Collaborate with program managers and leadership to assess needs, define metrics, and monitor progress

  • Provide analytical support in areas such as:

    • Configuration Management

    • Earned Value Management (EVM)

    • Financial Management

    • Cost Estimation

    • Risk Management

  • Track program milestones and performance indicators to ensure alignment with objectives

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of program policies, procedures, and tools
