You will provide oversight of sales teams who work with agents and external partners to offer insurance products not written by the enterprise. Work with the field to increase sales opportunities that achieve revenue and margin goals for assigned geographical areas. You will report to the Director of Insurance Operations.

Position Compensation Range:

$111,000.00 - $190,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities


  • Develop business plan for geographic region with focus on establishing and hitting revenue and operating margin targets.
  • Develop sales strategies designed to increase sales success of the field force and enhance the experience of customers.
  • Provide field management and agents with a high level of insurance technical expertise, knowledge of latest trends and sales support by in-person presentations, email, and phone contact.
  • Communicate across divisions to improve sales opportunities and mitigate adverse risk.
  • Oversee placement of business with partners by working with the field to understand the customers' needs and determining acceptability of partner insurance coverage based on underwriting guidelines or rules that best meet the needs of the customer.
  • Resolve complex questions and issues related to applications or policies issued by outside partners.
  • Create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by promoting trust, transparency, and inclusion. Work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support ongoing development.
  • Lead with influence and expertise. Contribute to division or department leadership team. Communicate and support organization mission, vision, values and policies.


Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements


  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
  • Extensive experience handling accounts including strong working knowledge of processes, policies, techniques and applicable regulations required.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with internal partners at all levels required.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, either through direct leadership or coaching/mentoring roles.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to explain complex issues in an understandable manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and deliver business results.

Licenses


  • Must have applicable insurance licenses (P&C) required to do business with American Family for the resident states that are supported or must obtain insurance licenses within 90 days of appointment.


Travel Requirements


  • Up to 10%.

In this hybrid role, you will work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034
