The Lee Health Heart Institute Cardiovascular Quality Director is responsible for the management and support of the quality program within the cardiovascular service line. This individual will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that standards of care are met and quality outcomes are achieved. The Quality Director will develop and implement quality improvement initiatives across the cardiovascular disciplines, monitor performance metrics including those associated with the National Cardiovascular Data Registry and the Society of Thoracic Surgery, as well as any Key Performance Indicators determined by Heart Institute leadership. Additionally, the Quality Director will influence the operational leadership team performance and will lead the efforts of the quality staff providing education, training, and direction related to quality and patient safety. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cardiovascular care, experience in quality improvement, and excellent communication and leadership skills. RequirementsEducation: Bachelors degree in Nursing required. A Masters degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred Experience: At least 5 years of experience in cardiovascular care, with 2 years of focus on quality management and process improvement. Experience with data analytics and quality reporting is required. Experience in a cardiovascular leadership role is preferred. Certifications: A certification in healthcare quality, such as Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is preferred.License: Registered Nurse US:FL:Fort Myers |
