Title: Office Assistant Department: Hotel, Culinary Arts & Tourism Campus Location: Arundel Mills Salary Range: $17/hr Work Mode: This position requires a full-time in-person presence on campus or at alternative locations. Hours Per Week:Up to 25 hours per week Position Type:Hourly and Temporary, Non-Exempt Position Summary This position is responsible for providing administrative and program support to the Hotel, Culinary Arts, and Tourism Institute (HCAT) department. Responsibilities also include supporting project development, handling noncredit programming duties, and performing routine clerical tasks as assigned. Job Duties and Responsibilities PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT:
Supports the Noncredit Coordinator with various administrative duties such as receiving, directing, and responding to telephone inquiries for the Dealer School, composing and editing correspondence, opening, sorting, and distributing mail, ordering office supplies, and converting all student files to digital format.
ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT:
Assists the Noncredit Coordinator in updating syllabi and other course materials based on provided edits.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COLLABORATION:
Assist with Dealer School promotion at HCAT and internal and external events.
OTHER DUTIES: As assigned by the Noncredit Coordinator, and Assistant Director/Director.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd.

Familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Ability to work with minimal supervision and with attention to accuracy, details, and deadlines. Ability to work a flexible schedule and occasional travel to accommodate the needs of the program.
