Were seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, IWM Portfolio Manager I to join our Wealth Management team. This role can be located in Los Angeles, CA, Menlo Park, CA, Newport Beach, CA, or San Francisco, CA.

In this role, youll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Administer a diverse, nationwide portfolio of assets owned in fiduciary accounts that includes but is not limited to commercial and residential real estate, mineral interests, tangible assets and mortgage related assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) regulations and BNY policy guidelines. Responsible for ensuring that asset management strategies are applied to each asset by demonstrating a deep understanding of specialty asset management and operational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with clients, trust counsel, third party affiliates, as well as internal partners such as Wealth Managers, Investment Managers, legal, Risk & Compliance to ensure the successful management of specialty assets.
  • Meet with clients and new business prospects to communicate asset management strategy and current market conditions. Implement investment strategies for complex assets consistent with client financial goals and risk tolerance and in accordance with the investment policies/philosophies and procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • As a subject matter expert, you will develop and share policies and strategies to improve the performance of the Special Assets group. Build necessary processes to enable executive leadership to make informed decisions on changes that impact the portfolio.
  • Member of an internal fiduciary oversight committee that is responsible for the approval of annual asset reviews and makes significant investment decisions related to special assets and approves changes to internal policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to firm profitability by assuring retention and expansion of existing client relationships.

To be successful in this role, were seeking the following:

  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of investment experience preferred or over 2 years of investment experience preferred for MBAs or CFAs.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $77,000 and $143,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
