Pay Range: $120,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Detailed Functions of the Role

• Performs and interprets cardiac stress tests including treadmill nuclear and echo protocols
• Evaluates patient indications and contraindications for stress testing
• Conducts pre and post procedure assessments and documentation
• Participates in clinical decision making and medical management as indicated
• Develops protocols and clinical workflows for cardiac testing and expansion of the program
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to ensure safe high quality care
• Provides clinical services under a collaborative agreement including assessment diagnosis treatment and discharge planning
• Supports clinical education of staff students and patients
• Participates in safety quality improvement and compliance initiatives

Skills and Abilities

• Strong cardiology clinical background with expertise in stress testing
• Advanced physical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Ability to develop protocols and improve operational workflows
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to function independently and in interdisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated leadership and teaching capabilities
• Flexible and responsive to dynamic clinical needs

Qualifications

• Current NJ license as APN or PA
• For APN NJ Board of Nursing certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse and masters degree in nursing required
• For PA NJ license and NCCPA certification required with graduation from accredited PA program

Education and Certification

• Bachelors masters or graduate certificate required based on discipline
• BLS and ACLS certifications through American Heart Association required

Years of Experience

• Minimum two years of clinical experience in cardiology required
• Experience in performing stress tests including treadmill nuclear and echo preferred
