POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) and their associated control systems. Duties include identifying and resolving intermittent issues with control systems or machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and executing equipment repairs. The role also involves diagnosing and resolving electromechanical problems, as well as communicating necessary logic changes to the system manufacturer through their remote support team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;



  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on all mechanical and electrical conveyor equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of automated systems to identify and address potential repair needs.
  • Provide technical support and resolve electrical or engineering issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with equipment manufacturers to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Analyze and interpret diagnostic data and test results to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee the work of third-party contractors as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or technical certificate in Basic Electricity and Electronics preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical repair, with a focus on troubleshooting, preferred.
  • Familiarity with 2-wire serial communication systems, PROFIBUS, and AS-i bus is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and machine/system layout designs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with controls setup and configuration.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents.
  • Capable of writing clear reports and professional correspondence.
