Clinical Payments Specialist

The Clinical Payments Specialist will handle the financial processing of transactions including clinical trial vendor communication, and reconciling and verifying invoices specific to the Clinical Operations team.May be a remote position.The successful candidate for this position will have detailed accounting knowledge and skills with a strong ability to reconcile accounts. This candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communications skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for support to processing clinical trial payments, inclusive of payment processing reconciliation (including returned or rejected payments).
  • Updating internal trackers to ensure oversight on payment processing within the teams remains up-to-date
  • Support Accounts Payable in account and purchase order (PO) creation for clinical trial vendors (including trial sites)
  • Assist Clinical Operations and Accounts Payable in annual audit support; ensuring support, documentation, and processes are carried out in adherence with any compliance measures and policies (including SOC 1).
  • Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including vendors, facilities, and colleagues
  • Additional projects/tasks and analyses, as required

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting preferred, plus some financial experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong proficiency in using Excel for spreadsheet analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
  • Coupa, Mineraltree, and NetSuite experience preferred
  • Medrio and Medidata EDC experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of clinical payments experience, preferably within the clinical research space
  • A highly organized individual who is focused and detail-oriented and able to thrive in fast-paced working environment
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in a manner that promotes a team spirit
  • Manage time and set priorities for tasks
  • Customer service approach to internal employees and external vendors

Remote: US Only roles

The anticipated base salary range plus incentive variable compensation in the United States is $64,000 to $80,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. CareDx is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
